Business & Human Rights in Ireland

On Wednesday March 9th, the Irish Centre for Human Rights at NUI Galway will host a seminar by Fergal Crehan entitled “Fighting for Privacy Rights in Ireland and Europe”. Fergal Crehan is a barrister who specialises in privacy, data protection and internet law.  He has acted as counsel in major privacy cases at the European Court of Justice, including the landmark data-retention case involving Facebook (Schrems v Irish Data Protection Commissioner).  He is also Managing Director at privacy consultants The Hit Team, who use legal and technical expertise to help people deal with issues of online infringements of their privacy, and fight back against leaked personal content and internet targeting.
